It is becoming increasingly common, for physiotherapists to recommend and refer patients to have a scan – normally MRI or ultrasound – either at the start, middle or end of their treatment pathway. Following the scan, a full report is provided to the referring physiotherapist, which is used to create a bespoke treatment plan for the patient.
