In person Physiotherapy in Our Ainsdale Clinic or online remote sessions

If you are in a remote location or if your condition doesn’t allow you to travel, an online physio consultation is the best option.

What do we treat

Our Southport Physiotherapy & Acupuncture Clinic offers the following treatments: Physiotherapy, acupuncture, rehab, sports therapy, massage, osteopathic techniques, low back pain, occupational health.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a research-based profession that uses a range of skills from manual therapy, exercises and electrotherapy to treat a variety of conditions and to stimulate muscle and tissue repair to reduce pain and discomfort.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a treatment derived from ancient Chinese medicine. Using fine needles inserted into certain areas of your body it is used for rehabilitation, preventative and therapeutic purposes.

Sports Massage

Sports massage works like a deep tissue massage with the aim of massaging and stretching muscles to relieve tightness, restrictions and any pain and discomfort.

Chronic Pain Management

Chronic pain is pain that carries on for longer than 12 weeks despite medication or treatment. Most people get back to normal after pain following an injury or operation. But sometimes the pain carries on for longer or comes on without any history of an injury or operation.

Musculoskeletal Conditions

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy is a specialised area of physiotherapy treating injuries and conditions which affect the muscles, joints, and soft tissues. The most appropriate treatments will be selected upon the clinical judgement and the experience of the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist on the findings from the initial assessment.

Posture And Ergonomics

Postural dysfunction or “Poor” posture is defined as when our spine is positioned in unnatural positions, in which the curves are emphasised and this results in the joints, muscles and vertebrae being in stressful positions. Poor posture can also cause head and neck pain, headaches, trouble breathing, or trouble walking.

Dave has worked miracles on my back issue over the past 8 weeks, couldn’t ask for a better physio - he’s spotted the issues almost instantly and set achievable goals to aid my recovery. Dave can also provide acupuncture (which I didn’t know originally) and having not had it before, I was a little sceptical about the benefits - honestly, it’s amazing! The app he uses is brilliant too for helping to remember the stretches, without this (and Dave obviously) I wouldn’t be in the position I am today. Based in 658 Fitness in Ainsdale, you can park right outside, which is ideal and Remdi Physio is in a side room just inside the gym. Nice atmosphere and the staff are lovely too!

I went to Dave after over two years of NHS physiotherapy input during which time l had one face to face assessment and one face to face review. It was therefore a refreshing change to have not only a face to face assessment but active input. I had complex pain issues and he has helped improve these significantly in a short space of time.

A friend recommended Dave. My husband went first to see him. After seeing results for hubby after just two visits I decided to go myself. I had had knee problems for the best part of 15 years. It seemed to be something I had just accepted. The NHS had x-rayed it and said they could see no problems yet still the pain persisted. I was on painkillers most of the time. I was reluctant to go and exercise because my knee was sore I ended up two stone heavier than I should be. I went to Dave and within the first 10 minutes of flexing my muscles he could tell me exactly what the problem is. The muscles in my right thigh had weakened to such an extent that there was no padding behind my kneecap. Such a knowledgeable guy. I’m now on a maintenance program of exercises to build the muscle that. I can say with all honesty I started to felt better within two weeks. If you have any kind of problems at all you will find no one better than Dave. thanks Dave

Would definitely recommend Dave for physio. I was given his name from a friend (who has also been to him) to see if he could help me. I went with a pain in the groin and hip area which was stopping me from walking properly and playing Walking Netball. I now know it is mild arthritis but with the right professional help, acupuncture and exercises from Dave I am pain free, am able to play netball again and can walk normally. I am now on a maintenance programme to keep on top of it as I don’t want to go back to how I was before I went….feel almost normal again! Thanks Dave!

I came in with shoulder and back pain, which I suspected a trapped nerve. Dave went though all the procedures necessary for treating me and after 1 session a couple of days later it had significantly reduced which i had been suffering from for a long period of time. Highly recommended.

This was my first visit to David and I guarantee it will NOT be my last. After his assessment David quickly arrived at the diagnosis to my porblem and went to work. David is really hands on and boy, does he have great hands. They were firm and got right in to the heart of the matter. His manipulations were excellent. Sure I was aching the day after but saw a dramatic improvement on the second day. Thanks. See you (hopefully not too) soon.

After 2 visits to Southport Hospital and 1 visit to Aintree, where I was just given painkillers when I could only walk no more than 20 metres. i went to see Dave and it was the best thing I could have done.Dave is so knowledgeable and after 2 sessions a week , I am now off the painkillers and can walk a fair distance . Would highly recommend him. 11/02/2022 After recurring back pain, i contacted Dave again, so that he could work his magic. After 2 sessions and a set of exercises (which were kindly sent by email), I am moving a lot more freely.. Can't recommend him highly enough.
